Colleen recently retired from the Cambridge Central School district where she served as the elementary school principal and special education chairperson.  Prior to working in Cambridge, she was the principal of Jansen Avenue School in Johnstown, NY.  She taught middle school and high school social studies and critical thinking in the Clarence Central School district in Western New York.

Spending half of her career in the classroom and the other half in administration gives Colleen a unique perspective on K-12 school dynamics and an appreciation for the importance of every individual to the workplace. Colleen has a solid background in, and a passion for supporting and mentoring teachers and leaders to find success in their careers while developing a functional work-life balance. In 2018 Colleen was recognized with the SAANYS Excelsior Award, presented to individuals whose dedication and exceptional contributions throughout their career have made a difference for children and their school community. 

Colleen believes that by using reflection, empathy and creative problem solving we can build a better understanding of ourselves and others in the workplace.  Prioritizing relationship building and empathy supports healthy schools for staff, students and families. 

Family is at the core of everything.  Colleen is the proud mother of three grown children and grandmother to five absolutely amazing grandchildren!
